Henry S. Beal served in Company A, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry prior to the organization of the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry on February 13, 1864. At this time, he was assigned to Co. A of the 7th.
Private Beal was captured at Louisa Court House, Va. on June 11, 1864. He was sent to Point Lookout and was transrerred to Elmira Prison, NY on July 25, 1864 where he remained until after the war ended.
