J. Burci (Burcie) was enlisted February 1, 1863 with Captain Russell at Augusta. He was in the 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. A. When the 21st was a part of the consolidation, Burci and all of Co. A was again Company A but now in the 7h Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
In the March / August rolls Pvt. Burci was sick in Augusta Hospital. Later he again was hospitalized. This time he was in Jackson Hospital at Richmond June 5th 1864. He returned to duty June 11th.
Pvt. J. Burci was paroled May 5, 1865.
