Edward L. Crawford, born March 7, 1832, served in Company A, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry and in February 1864 was transferred to Co. A, 7th Georgia Cavalry through consolidation of units.

In early June of that year the 7th arrived in Virginia as part of the Army of Northern Virginia. Private Crawford was wounded at Trevillian Station on June 11, 1864 and had his right leg amputated as a result.

Edward L. Crawford died on December 29, 1907 in New York City and was buried there.
