Frank Dunevant enlisted May 8, 1862 at Augusta with Capt. Russell. Pvt. Dunevant was with the 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. A until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. A, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Dunevant's records show that he was present on all roll calls through September 1864. In late fall of '64 he received a clothing issue. From February 21, 65 through March the 8th, Pvt. Frank Dunevant was on special detail.
