J.H.A. Almond was enlisted August 19, 1863 in the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry in Co. B, by Capt. Davies at Camp Lee. When The 7th Ga Cavalry was organized on February 13, 1864, he was transferred to Company C of the 7th.
The muster rolls showed him present through October 1864. No further records.
