Pvt. Almond, on February 13, 1864 was transferred to Co. C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry through consolidation of units.

Records show that his horse was captured during the battle at Trevillion Station in June 1864. Again on the October muster roll, it shows him without horse.

Jesse M. Almond left command February 25, 1865 on remount detail and was at home when the war ended.
