A.H. Caldwell enlisted in Company C, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry June 12, 1862 as Sergeant. He served with the 24th until the unit was consolidated with the 21st Georgia Cavalry and the Hardwick Mounted Rifles to form the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry February 13, 1864. At this time he was assigned to Company C of the 7th.
Sgt. Caldwell died April 27, 1864 in camp. No listing of the cause.
