W.H. Clark of Hart County, Ga. enlisted November 1863 in Elbert County, Ga. to Co. B., 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry.

Through the consolidation of units he was transferred to Company C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry on February 13, 1864.

Clark was recorded as having been present on all roll calls through October. He lost his horse June 1st and it appears as if he lost another horse while in action in September or October.

Pvt. Clark became sick during service and was furloughed home shortly before the end of the war.

Pvt. W.H. Clark was captured and paroled at Heartwell, Ga. on May 19, 1865.
