G.T. Snellings of Elbert County, Ga. enlisted as a private at Elberton 1862 and served in Co. B, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry. Then on February 13, 1864 was transferred to Co. C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Snellings was on detached duty under Lt. John Brewer and surrendered at Dallas, N.C.
