Pvt. Wright was present on the March/April '64 roll. On the May/August roll he was sick in hospital at Columbia, S.C. (probably only in May). He was present on the September/October roll.

Pvt. John W. Wright served through the duration of the war and surrendered April 9, 1865 with the other members of the 7th who were present, along with General Lee at Appomattox Courthouse, Va.
