1st Sgt. Burroughs was listed as present through the duration of the war. He was appointed QMSgt. April 24, 1864 by Col. J.L. McAllister.

Being surrounded, QMSgt. W. Berrien Burroughs surrendered and was paroled April 9, 1865 at Appomattox.
