Adam Dixon, b. April 9, 1840 - d. March 6, 1929. He enlisted September 22, 1862 at Waynesville with Capt. Hopkins. Pvt. Dixon served in Co. A, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry and with the consolidation of units was transferred to Company G, 7th Georgia Cavalry.

Pvt. Dixon was present on all roll calls through October '64 with the exception of being admitted to Jackson Hospital at Richmond, August 20th of 1864. He was listed as being present on August 31st.

Pvt. Adam Dixon surrendered and was paroled at Tallahassee on May 15, 1865. His description was listed as follows: complexion, dark; hair, dark; eyes, bluish; height, 5 ft. 10 in.

Pvt. Dixon is buried at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery or Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Pierce County, Georgia.
