S.A. Jackson enlisted at Campbell County, Ga. and served in Co. D. 24th Battalion. He was transferred to Company I of the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry in February 1864.
Pvt. Jackson was detailed as a courier in March of '64. He was sick, in hospital June 11th and back on duty in September.
