Silas Wilson enlisted June 10, 1862 at Savannah with Capt. Miller. Pvt. Wilson served in Co. C, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. I, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry. (some controversy of whether Silas Wilson was in Co. B or I of the 7th.)
Wilson was sick in hospital at Savannah in April '64.
On June 11, 1864, during the battle at Trevillian Station, Va., Pvt. Silas Wilson was killed in action.
