T.M. Crosby enlisted April 3, 1862 in Bryan County with Capt. J.L. McAllister. Pvt. Crosby was detailed in September '62 as a Butcher for the S. A. & G. R.R. He served in the Hardwick Mounted Rifles, Co. A until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. K, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Crosby was listed as having been present on all roll calls through October. On the September/October roll it indicates that he was without a horse.
