J.T. Goodwin enlisted with Capt. Russell in Augusta May 8, 1862. He served in Co. A, 21st Battalion and when the 7th Regiment was organized, he was assigned to Co. A of the 7th.
Sgt. Goodwin was without horse after May '64. A clothing issue was given in the late fall.
