Pvt. Miller was captured June 11, 1864 near Trevillian Station, Va. He was sent to Fortress Monroe, Va. and on to Point Lookout, Md.
In August '64 he was transferred to Hammond General Hospital with acute diarrhoea. Again in January '65, he went to Hammond Hospital.
Pvt. William Miller was released May 14, 1865 at the age of 30. Transportation ordered to New York City.
