T.B.K. Johnson enlisted September 4, 1863 at Georgetown, S.C. with Capt. Miller. He was in Co. C, 21st Battalion, Ga Cav until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. B, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.

Pvt. Johnson was captured June 11, 1864 near Louisa Courthouse, Va. He was sent to Fortress Monroe,Va. June 20th and on July 25, 1864 he was transferred to Elmira Prison, N.Y.

Pvt. T.B.K. Johnson was chosen for exchange and paroled at Elmira October 11, 1864. The actual exchange took place October 29th. No further records.
