Wiley Martin enlisted May 15, 1862 in Savannah with Capt. Miller. He served in Co. C, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, as a corporal. With the organization of the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry, Martin was transferred to Co. B of the 7th on February 13, 1864.

In June, 1864, he was listed in General Hospital, Richmond and returned to duty on July 6, 1864. While in the hospital he was issued clothing. Wiley Martin was in the hospital again in October. Then the October-December roll shows that he received an issue of clothing again. No further records.
