James T. Adams was enlisted in Co. B, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry September 14, 1862 by Lt. Henry in Elbert County, Ga. He was transferred to Company C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry on February 13, 1864 when the 24th and two other units were consolidated.
