Pvt. Adams was admitted into Wayside Hospital on August 15, 1864 and then to Jackson Hospital, Va. on the 16th, diagnosed with diarrhea. He returned to duty on August 25th. In October 1864 he was listed on sick furlough for 30 days beginning on the 21st of October.
On May 17, 1865, M.F. Adams was paroled at Hartwell, Ga.
