He was present on the 7th's roll until April 18, 1864 when he was on detached service at Columbia, S.C.
Sgt. Bourne was wounded and entered Charlottesville Hospital June 15, 1864 where his left leg was amputated. He was furloughed August 14, 1864.
After the war Sgt. P.B. Bourne was captured and paroled at Washington, Ga. June 17, 1865.
