J.L. Clark enlisted September 21, 1862 at Camp Mercer with Lt. Davies. Pvt. Clark was with the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. B until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
About April '64, Pvt. Clark was promoted to Commissary Sergeant. He was listed as present through October on all roll calls.
Sgt. J.L. Clark was captured and paroled at Heartwell, Ga. May 19, 1865.
