John G. Ham (Hamm) enlisted December 23, 1863 in Decatur, Ga. Pvt. Ham served with the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. B until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.

In the September/October roll call, Pvt. Ham was listed as having been wounded and in a hospital. He was sent to General Hospital # 2 in North Carolina. His wound was described as vulnus scolfet.

On November 23, 1864, Pvt. John B. Ham died. No other details.
