Pvt. Patterson was absent 3 days in April. Other than that, he was present through October '64. He and others were detailed to recruit fresh horses around Savannah and were stationed temporarily at the breastworks below Savannah.
Pvt. Patterson, on April 15, 1865, was confronted and released from service at Branchville, S.C.
He was captured and paroled at Hartwell, Ga. on May 19, 1865.
