A. Risner enlisted August 15, 1862 at Camp Mercer with Capt. Anderson. Pvt. Risner was with the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. B until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. C, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
On the March/April roll, it was indicated that Pvt. A. Risner had transferred to Maj. Maxwell's Light Battery.
