Samuel Lesser enlisted Decebber 12, 1863 in Hall County. He was in the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. B until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. D, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Samuel Lesser was present as a teamster throughout the war. He surrendered at Appomattox April 9, 1865.
