J.A. Rogers (Rodgers), enlisted as a private in Co. A, Georgia Cavalry, 24th Battalion and later in Co. C. Then through consolidation was transferred to Co. D, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Rogers was wounded near the hand on June 11,1864 at Trevillian Station, Va.
