B.E. Sapp enlisted September 22, 1862 at Camp Fort with Capt. T.S. Hopkins. Pvt. Sapp was with Co. A then Co. C of 24th Bttn, Ga Cav until February 13, 1864 when the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry was organized through consolidation, Co. C of the 24th was then Co. D of the 7th.
On the March/April roll Pvt. Sapp was present, sick in camp. On the May/August roll he was sick in the hospital.
Pvt. B.E. Sapp died August 14, 1864 with chronic diarrhoea.
