W.B. Hargroves (Harrigraves) enlisted May 13, 1862 at Savannah with Capt. Banks. Cpl. Hargroves was in Co. B, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. E, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
On April 18, 1864 Cpl. Hargroves was detailed to go to Burke County for a horse and rejoin the Company at Augusta. He was present at all roll calls through October '64.
