On April 18, 1864 Cpl. B.B. Jones was absent on furlough to rejoin his company at Augusta.
Jones was captured June 11, 1864 near Trevillian Station, Va. He was sent to Fortress Monroe on June 20 and was transferred July 27, 1864 to Elmira Prison, N.Y.
Cpl. B.B. Jones died at Elmira January 17, 1865 from chronic diarrhoea. He was buried in grave # 1506.
