Charles Waldhour enlisted September 14, 1863 at Georgtown, S.C. with Capt. Harrison. Pvt. Waldhour served in Co. B, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. E, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
On April 18, 1864, Pvt. Waldhour was on leave with instructions to rejoin the company at Marlowville. He was present on roll calls through October '64. In the late fall of 1864 he received an issue of clothing.
