Samuel A. Walls enlisted in Co. B, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry October 23, 1863 at Georgetown, S.C. with Lt. Exley doing the honors. He served with the 21st until it was consolidated with two other units to form the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry. At this time he was assigned to Company E of the 7th.
Pvt. Walls was listed as present through October 1864 - on April 1st he lost his horse. There was a clothing issue that he received, listed as S.A. Walls, during the period between October and December. No further records.
