David Beasley joined the 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry May 13, 1862 at Savannah. He served in Company B and later transferred to Co. E. When the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry was organized in February 1864, 1st Sgt. Beasley was transferred to Company F of the 7th.
Beasley was listed as present through June 11, 1864. On this date he was wounded at the Battle of Trevillian Station, Va.
Sergeant David Beasley's wound was too much. He died June 12, 1864.
