Zachariah Daniels enlisted May 13, 1862 at Savannah. 2nd Sgt. Daniels was first in Co. B then Co. E, 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. F, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Daniels was present through April '64. His horse died on May 16, 1864. On the May/August roll he was absent, at Recruiting Camp N.C., the same was so through October.
