Auguston Houston "Aug" enlisted May 13, 1862 at Savannah with Capt. Banks. Pvt. Houston served in the 21st Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. B then Co. E until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. F, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
After April 1864 Pvt. Houston was without a horse. On the May/June roll call he was present but on June 23rd he was in Jackson Hospital with an injured left hand. Houston returned to duty July 17, 1864.
