Axon H. Minton (Anson) enlisted May13, 1862 at Savannah. Sgt. Minton was in Co. B then Co. E, 21st Battalion. Georgia Cavalry until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. F, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Sgt. Axon H. was wounded at Nance Shop, Va. June 24, 1864 and died June30th.
