N. Branch enlisted September 22, 1863 at Waynesville with Capt. T. Hopkins. He was in Company A. of the 24th.
When the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry was organized Pvt. Branch was assigned to Company G of the 7th. Soon after, N. Branch was transferred to the 63rd Regiment, Georgia Volunteers by order of Gen. Mercer, April 17, 1864.
