Thomas B. Hubbard enlisted March 3, 1864 at Thunderbolt with Lt. Col. Black in the 63rd Regiment, Georgia Vols. On April 17, 1864 Pvt. Hubbard transferred from the 63rd to G Troop, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry by order of Brig. General Mercer.

Pvt. Hubbard was captured near Louisa Courthouse, Va. He was sent to Fortress Monroe, Va. on June 20th and on the 25th of July was transferred to Elmira Prison, N.Y. He was released July 11, 1865 with a remark stating his real name is J.T. Jones
