Adam G.K. Saffold (Soffold) served in Co. A, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, then on February 13, 1864 was transferred to Co. G, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.

In April '64, Pvt. Saffold was on special leave after he was thrown from his horse fracturing a bone in his right leg. This also caused a chronic ulcer in the left leg, he had a disease also. The date of returning to duty wasn't listed. On the September/October roll he was present.

Pvt. Adam G.K. Saffold was paroled at Thomasville May 23, 1865.
