Nebza Burnsid enlisted April 3, 1862 in Bryan County. He was in Co. B, Hardwick Mounted Rifles. Pvt. Burnsid was transferred to Co. H, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry on February 13, 1864.

Burnsid took leave in April for 3 days without permission. Otherwise he was present through October '64 except in August he was sick in General Hospital #7 at Raleigh, N.C.. Records show where he was paid for March 1st. to June 30th., receiving $53.13.
