Noah Nessmith enlisted December 23, 1862 in Bryan County. He was in the Hardwick Mounted Rifles, Co. B. until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. H, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Noah Nessmith was listed as sick on the rolls from March to June, '64. Afterwards, he was present on all rolls through October.
