Pvt. Nevils was wounded at Trevillian Station June 11, 1864. He was hospitalized and diagnosed v.s. left shoulder July 6th. He was furloughed for 60 days beginning July 12th. Back on duty in September but was back in the hospital in October, diagnosed with cervical vertibrae, vulnus sclofet (difficult location to extract foreign bodies).
Pvt. Thomas Nevils died October 31, 1864.
