H.W. Bolemand (Boldman) was enlisted in Cobb County by Lt. Glover. He was in Company D, 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry until through the consolidation of units, including the 24th, he was assigned to Company I of the 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.

H.W. Bolemand is also shown as being in Company F of the 7th. This appears as though it is a transfer but no records show this other than his records show both companies.

He was shown as present on every roll call until June 1864 when he was taken into the hands of the enemy. This was during the Battle of Trevillian Station on the 11th of June. Pvt. Bolemand was sent to Fortress Monroe on June 20, 1864 and on July 25th was transferred to Elmira Prison, N.Y.

He was chosen for exchange March 10, 1865. No details on this.

After the war, Pvt. H.W. Bolemand was paroled May 20, 1865 at Charlotte, N.C.
