A.G. Young enlisted at Camp Bell with Lt. Kiser. Pvt. Young served in the 24th Battalion, Georgia Cavalry, Co. D until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. I, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Young was present on roll calls until June 1, 1864 when he was sick in hospital through September. No additional details.
He was paroled at Thomasville on May 10, 1865.
