B.S. Butler, of Bryan County, Ga., enlisted October 1863 at Ft. McAllister in Capt. McAllister's Hardwick Mtd. Rifles, then on February 13, 1864 was transferred to Co. K, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt. Butler was captured December 15, 1864 while in Virginia with the 7th and sent to Fort Delaware where he remained until being released after the close of the war.
