Pvt. Daniels was present on all roll calls through October and in October he was without a horse. It appears that he was one of the men of the 7th that went to procure horses. He was captured at Savannah on December 21, '64 and was sent to Fort Delaware.
Pvt. Augustus L. Daniels died April 19, 1865 at the age of 20. More than likely, while in prison at Ft. Delaware.
