Isaac B. Ferguson (J.B.) enlisted April 3, 1862 in Hardwick Mounted Rifles in Bryan County, Ga. with Capt. McAllister.
He was assigned to Co. A when the unit had grown so large as to warrent two companies.
1st Sgt. Ferguson, on February 13, 1864 was transferred to Co. K, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
He was captured January 1865 while at home, released May 1, 1865.
