Elijah Strickland enlisted November 29, 1862 in Bryan County. He was in Co. A of the Hardwick Mounted Rifles until, through consolidation of units, he was transferred to Co. K, 7th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry.
Pvt.Strickland was sick on the March/April roll and again on the September/October roll.
